A little About Me
Fresh Contrast is the online identity of graphic designer Karim Balaa. I'm a designer based from Ottawa Canada specializing in creative concepts and interactive design.
I've always been interested in design and creative solutions. I graduated from my design studies in February of 2005. Studying Interactive Multimedia at Algonquin College I learnt a lot about the industry as it gave me a good eye opener for what to expect. After graduating I began working for design companies in the city of Ottawa. It was a great learning experience while working for these companies as it gave me the opportunity to create original designs for major and small name brands.
I am constantly looking for new and exciting challenges and trying to improve/learn new techniques and new software to improve my design skills.

Talking With The Pros
I try to keep some fun and exciting side projects at all times. Talking With The Pros is one of them that is special to me. I started this project as a simple blog to interview creative professionals and give people a little insight on their lives and work. You can check it out at www.talkingwiththepros.com
I’ve been fortunate to have had the opportunities to design concepts for some some fortune 500 brands as well non for profit organizations and smaller sized businesses. Every client is special to me as I try to build strong and long lasting relationships between us. Below are a few of the clients I’ve had the pleasure to work with.
Some friends in the industry that I've worked with and would recommend to anyone that's looking for great talent:
